UPS was scheduled to deliver an important package to me today, but failed to do so and annotated their package tracking site with misleading information -- essentially blaming the shipper for not providing the correct address instead of taking responsibility for a mistake they made. When I finally figured out how to indirectly contact the Albuquerque Center through UPS's national customer service line, I discovered that the UPS Albuquerque Center had put my package on the wrong truck and I would not get my package today as promised. While I am disappointed UPS made a mistake I understand service quality lapses sometimes occur. What I found to be totally unacceptable was UPS's total lack of interest in fixing their mistake and delivering my package when promised. Not only did they refuse to fix their mistake, but when I asked to talk to a supervisor I was forwarded to a number that was not answered and when I wouldn't just go away they hung up on me without explanation or apology. Their failure to deliver my package on-time has caused me to delay travel plans which is a major inconvenience. The most frustrating part of this is that it is impossible to directly contact the UPS Albuquerque Center to resolve problems. Based on this experience I find the quality of UPS Albuquerque Office's delivery service quality to be unsatisfactory and their commitment to customer satisfaction non-existant. I will not use their service again and can not recommend their service to others.
